Mouth

The human mouth is the first part of the alimentary canal that receives food and produces saliva. The mouth consists of two regions; the vestibule and the oral cavity proper. The mouth plays an important role in various aspects of life. It helps in communicating (articulate speech), in the aesthetic sense, and most importantly in overall health by aiding in chewing and swallowing food.
