Pomegranates are a type of fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree that produce a red fruit. Inside the fruit are hundred of seeds each surrounded by a juicy, sweet-tart flesh. They are eaten fresh, juiced, or used in cooking, and are a rich source of vitamins.
